Some sections Updated July 22nd
What follows is some information for the performers about the Greenfield Rock Festival on July 25th and 26th. Apologies in advance for the length, but please take a moment to check it all out and let us know if you have any questions. We will be assuming that everyone has read and understands everything below - so if you don't let us know.
Note: Some of the information below is subject to change. We will be in touch if and when we make additional updates, but checking this again a few days before the show might be a good idea.

If you are selling tickets we need the money and unsold tickets by 3PM on Friday July 25th. All ticket selling by bands should be completed before July 25th. Please do not sell tickets outside the gate.
Updated July 22nd
Entry of bands and their guests will be handled at the vehicle / band entrance (see map). Please see Chelsea, Ashley or the person at the vehicle gate when you arrive. After you unload your equipment please move your vehicle (see more on Parking below).
Updated July 22nd
Each band is allowed two guests to help them with merch, carrying equipment, etc. Please register your guests with Chelsea or Ashley when you arrive. You can also send us a note right now with their names. Your guests and band members will be issued black wristbands. Only your guests and band members will be allowed to use the band entrance.
Notes
Updated July 22nd
Set Time: All set times and lengths are approximate and subject to change. If you tell all your fans to come watch you at 2PM and a band drops out at the last minute you might end up playing at 1:30PM. We will not be leaving gaps in the music if bands drop out at the last minute - we will fill the time by giving later bands the option playing slightly longer sets, but that doesn't mean you get to add all that extra time to your set (see below about set length). Please keep this in mind. Better to tell your fans to come watch the show for a few hours and enjoy 6 or 7 of the bands playing around you. Please do not come to us complaining that all your fans are coming at such-and-such a time if you end up playing at a different time and now they won't see you. We will try not to change times if possible, but things happen. Also, if you have some important constraint about when you cannot play let us know right now. But please don't come ask because you want don't / do want to play first / last / middle / 2PM, etc. We will do our best to make reasonable accommodations for everyone, but someone has to play early / late.
Updated July 22nd
Set Length: We will cut you off if you go over your set length. We need to keep things reasonably on schedule. Actually we wil remind you to finish up and if you ignore us we will then cut you off. You might want to have one of your roadies keeping track of your time while you're playing. If there is any doubt about when you should finish please ask one of the crew.
Friday evening the concert starts at 5PM and runs until 9:30PM. Load in for all bands will be before 4:30 PM except for the first acts who will be arriving at 3:30PM. We will sound check opening acts at 4PM. For all other bands if you arrive close to 4PM you will be able to drive close to the stage to unload your equipment. If you plan on arriving after 4:30 (and you should tell us if this is the case) you will have to carry your gear the 300ft. from the parking lot to the holding area behind the Station Stage.
On Saturday the concert starts at 11:30 and runs until 8:30PM. We have broken the day into sections and assigned load in times for each group of bands which are listed above. All bands can load in between 10 and 10:30 AM if they want. The times that are listed above are the latest we expect all the bands in the group to arrive for loading in. Important: If you are going to be arriving after this time you must contact us to let us know. If you do not you might be asked to move or forfeit your set time. All bands can load in between 10 and 10:30 AM if they want. We will have donuts and drinks around 11:00 AM for bands that load in early.
Your options for load in on Saturday:
1) If you show up before 10:30AM you can drive right up to the area where we will be storing equipment for the stage 1 and 2 and drop your stuff off. There will be GRF staff there to help you unload.
2) If you show up after 10:30AM you can unload yourself in the parking lot next to the venue. If you're on stage 2 it is only about 75ft from the vehicle / band entrance. If you're on stage 1 you will need to carry your equipment about 250ft. around the edge of the crowd area to the storage area behind the stage.
3) There is also a back entrance to the Energy Park (see map), but there is decent flight of stairs that must be used. The advantage of this option is that you don't have to carry your equipment thru the crowd - it's about the same distance from the station stage as the front entrance. Again, if you show up after 10:30AM you will be on your own for unloading.
Set lengths are around 20 - 30 minutes for all bands. Because we have two stages we will be tearing down and setting up while the other stage is going. We are going to need to be strict about set times because we cannot run over our finishing time due to park rules and town ordinances. If you are close to running over your set time we will tell you. Please DO NOT tear down your amps or drums on stage. Move them off the stage first so we can get the next band on quickly, just like the band before you did for you. Also, please encourage your fans to go to your merch table and NOT come on the stage to talk right after your set as this slows things down. Thanks for your understanding and support.
There is limited parking right next to the venue, but lots of parking fairly close. After you're done unloading you will need move your vehicle and park in one of the lots nearby especially if you have trailer. Please don't park in any no-parking areas as you probably will be towed. This map shows the parking areas nearby. The lot across main street behind Wilson's Department Store has many spaces and is the best bet for trailers unless you get lucky and find two parallel spaces on the street.

There is no backline. You should bring everything you need - instruments, amps, cabs, keyboards, drums. Both stages will have 14 channels on the PA. We will have up to 5 vocal channels, 4 channels for guitars and bass, mics on the drums, and a couple DI's for acoustics, bass and keyboards. Both stages will have at least 3 monitors in two channels. For bass players we try to go direct out so if you have a working line-level direct out on your bass amp that helps. If you have any special equipment needs (things like 6 brass players, 8 vocals, 5 acoustic guitars, etc.) please let us know now.
Grumpy's Pantry will be serving food at the venue - other vendors TBA. The venue is also right in the middle of Greenfield so there is a pizza place (Antonios), Mexican, a Thai restaurant, a Korean restaurant, two cafes, a pub and a drug store all within a 4 minute walk of the Energy Park. The parking map shows the locations of some of the food places that are also our show sponsors. We will also have plenty of free water for the band members.
This is an outdoor venue with a covered stage. You won't be in the sun or rain when you are performing, but you might want to bring a small tent or a tarp to cover your merch table and equipment if you don't like being in the sun selling your merch or there is the threat of rain. If you plan on bringing a tent let us know so we can reserve you some space.
Updated July 14th
Speaking of merch tables - there are a limited number of picnic tables at the park you can use for merch. You might end up sharing one with another band or vendor. If you want your own non-picnicy table we can get them for $15 each - if you want one let us know. Alternatively, you can bring your own table as well and save yourself the cash.
Updated July 22nd
One additional note on equipment: While we will attempt to provide a safe and secure enviroment for the Greenfield Rock Festival, this is an outside, open venue. We have never had any issues in the past, but we strongly recommend keeping a close eye on your equipment, especially the small stuff. We will have a good number of security people for the event and they will be advised to keep an eye out for non-band members carrying out band equipment - especially if they're not using the band entrance / exit. However, we cannot guarantee security for all your equipment - any loss or theft is strictly your responsibility. We also recommend that after you play your set that you load out your equipment as soon as possible.
There is no rain date. In the event of torrential rain and thunderstorms we might be forced to cancel or stop the show. We apologize in advance, but our insurance requires this. If there is a high certainty of this in the forecast before the show we will make every attempt to find alternative venues, but we cannot promise that all or even any bands will be accommodated. Thanks for your understanding on this. We wish we could control the weather.
The Energy Park is a town park. No drugs or alcohol are allowed. Performers obviously under the influence may be asked to leave by the local police who will be patrolling the area.
Also, since this is an outdoor event at a town park you might be wondering if we will be censoring lyrics and other content. We won't, but we do ask if you have content that might be considered offensive that you let us know and possibly tone it down a bit to appropriate levels for an all-ages crowd - something in the PG-13 range would be good.
